Korea selects top five models for 2020 FACE of ASIA

Five models were chosen at the “2020 Asia Model Festival FACE of Korea with EDGC” contest at Ilsan KINTEX, Gyeonggi Province, on Sunday.

Out of 30 contestants, Park Chae-lim, Choi Hyun-jin, Kim Se-won, Lee Jung-min, Lee Seo-young were chosen to advance to the finals in Seoul where they will compete with winners from 25 Asian countries for the “FACE of Asia” title
Supermodel Kim Hyo-jin and Ju Won-dae hosted the event. The contest was jointly held by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC) and Korean Model Association (KMA), sponsored by The Korea Times, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Judges included AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sig, KMA directors Park Jae-hoon, Jang Hye-won, Gong Jung-hwan, and Jung-Kyung-hoon, KOVEA CEO Lee Chang-yong, GTG Wellness CEO Kim Tae-hyun, EDGC senior executive Na Hee-young and Jesus Model Academy CEO Cho Sang-beom.

“Models are an important barometer of how advanced the nation’s fashion and beauty industries are,” said AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sig. “We hope our models will be introduced to the world stage through the 2020 FACE of Korea and play an important role in advancing Korea’s fashion industry.”
FACE of ASIA, the largest model-hunt platform in Asia, is part of the 15th Asia Model Festival scheduled for June 2020 in Seoul.

Twenty-five Asian countries ― Korea, China, Japan, Mongolia, the Philippines, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Arabia, Bangladesh and Taiwan ― will compete at the 15th Asia Model Festival next year.
