The ‘Face of Bangladesh’, a Bangladeshi representative model selection contest to participate in the 2024 Asia Model Festival in High1 Resort ‘Face of Asia road to GANGWON STATE’, was held on June 23rd at the Alokki Convention Center in Dhaka, Bangladesh, jointly hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (Chairman Yang Eui-sik, hereinafter referred to as AMFOC) and Bangladesh Crosswalk Communication (Xwalk Communication CEO Azra Mahmood). The event on this day was held as the main event of the Bangladesh ARKA Fashion Week.
Among the 300 applicants from all over Bangladesh, 15 finalists (8 males, 7 females) who passed the preliminary round were selected, and Dil Afroz (female), Jarif Shabab (male), and Akrima Atika (female) will represent Bangladesh in the 2024 Asia Model Festival Face of Asia.
On this day, a group uniform walk, individual introductions, designer fashion shows, traditional costume fashion shows, and various congratulatory performances were held.
In particular, this event was attended by Mehruz Munir, Bangladesh’s top model and ARKA Fashion Week Chairperson, beauty artist Kaniz Almas Khan, fashion expert Saifur Rahman, and AMFOC Overseas Cooperation Director Lee Sang-hee as judges.
Meanwhile, Face of Asia, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2024, is a competition where elite male and female models representing Asia who have passed regional preliminary rounds in up to 25 countries including Korea, Japan, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and India gather in Korea to select the best model in Asia. In addition to selecting representatives from each country, it also functions as a platform for Korean-related industries and cultures to exchange and communicate with Asia.
This competition is hosted by AMFOC, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, High1 Resort X.I.E.L, Dear Kristin, exobody, Oracle Dermatology, Koala Karma, RAYDEL, , LINE COLLECTION·LINE HOMME, Giverny, Arkwell, Slmit, Daegyeong University, UZNEX, SPOFEED, The Diet 0313, and SuGain Beauty. The Asia Model Festival is the largest model, fashion, and beauty-related industry event in Asia for 19 years, with the participation of 25 Asian countries. It is an event that faithfully fulfills its role as an online and offline platform for related industries to enter the global market through cultural industry exchanges between countries. The ‘2024 Asia Model Festival’ will be held splendidly with various contents such as Face of Asia, Asia Open Collection (Kids & Seniors, Asian Designer & Brand Fashion Show, Asia Model Awards, and Global Beauty Contest at the Kangwon Land Hotel Convention Center from October 30 to November 3, 2024.
