The glorious face of ‘Face of Laos’ has been covered.
The 2024 Asia Model Festival ‘Face of Laos Road to High1 Resort with GL & Dear Christine’ was successfully held at Parkson Naga Mall in Vientiane, Laos on the 11th. It was co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sik) and Laos Star Entertainment and Advertising (CEO Slapet Keoviengkam) and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Among the 550 models who applied from all over Laos, 20 (10 women, 10 men) were selected and presented various fashion shows on that day in group uniforms, designer brands, dresses, and tuxedos. As a result, female model Phonephachan Singsavang and male model Haoyang Phimma were finally selected and will represent Laos in the 24 Asia Model Festival Face of Asia.
In particular, to celebrate the Face of Laos on this day, singers such as REERIEW, MVIIZ, WILL BE DANCE CREW and professional K-pop dance teams held congratulatory performances.
The event was attended by judges including AMFOC Director Lee Sang-hee, Lao Women’s Union Culture Director Sinthamallah Ranavan, Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Center’s Vice Director of Youth Department Petanong Petlasy, Alist Talent Agency’s Director Alexson Citiso, famous model trainer Phachankam Bongsaei, 2023 Miss Universe Laos Paimani Ratsavanthao, 2022 Face of Laos representative Paisida Possidah, and 2020 Face of Laos representative and current famous model Koneville Mixay.
The main event of the Asia Model Festival, ‘Face of Asia’, is a competition where elite male and female models representing Asia who have passed regional preliminary rounds in up to 25 countries including Korea, Japan, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and India gather in Korea to select the best model in Asia. In addition to selecting representatives from each country, it also functions as a platform for Korean-related industries and cultures to exchange and communicate with Asia.
The ‘Asia Model Festival’, which is celebrating its 19th anniversary this year, is the largest event in Asia involving models, fashion, and beauty-related industries. With 25 Asian countries participating, it is faithfully fulfilling its role as an online and offline platform for related industries to enter the global market through cultural industry exchanges between countries.
The ‘2024 Asia Model Festival’ will be held at the Kangwon Land Hotel Convention Center from October 30 to November 3 with various contents such as Face of Asia, Asia Open Collection (Kids & Seniors, Asian Designer & Brand Fashion Show), Asia Model Awards, and Global Makeup Contest. High1 Resort, X.I.E.L, Dear Kristin, exobody, Oracle Dermatology, Koala Karma, RAYDEL, LINE COLLECTION LINE HOMME, Giverny, Acwell, Slmit, Daegyeong University, UZNEX, B2G Games, and The Diet 0313 are participating.
