The Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee announced on the 7th that the 2024 Asia Model Festival ‘Face of Uzbekistan’ was held at the Tashkent Intercontinental Hotel. This competition, held on the 3rd, was co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee and Uzbekistan NN Models and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
24 (12 female, 12 male) selected out of 1,600 models from Uzbekistan presented various fashion shows including team uniforms, designer brands B Jeans, Human Wear, Velvet Dress, and Azamat, and the three finalists were selected to participate in the 2024 Asia Model Festival Face. of Asia will represent Uzbekistan.
The GL Award, a sponsor award, was won by Saydaliev Umiduller, and the Uzhnek Award was won by Alibekova Malika.
At the event, AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sik, KOBEA Chairman Lee Chang-yong, Intro-K CEO Christine Park, NN Models CEO Nanahan, Uzbekistan’s representative designers Lola Saifi, Kamila Akhmedova, Kamola Rustamova and photographer Bakhtyor Baliev attended as a judge.
A performance by Uzbekistan’s Mukarram Turgunbayeva National Dance Ensemble ‘Bahor’ and a Korean traditional dance troupe ‘Goryeo’ were held, as well as a congratulatory performance by famous singer Munisa Rizaeva.
Face of Asia is a competition where elite male and female models representing Asia, who have gone through regional preliminary rounds in 25 countries, including Korea, gather in Korea to select Asia’s best model. In addition to selecting representatives for each country, it also serves as a platform for Korean-related industries and culture to exchange and communicate with Asia.
The 2024 Asia Model Festival will be held at the Gangwon Land Hotel Convention Center from October 30 to November 3.
