The 2024 Asia Model Festival ‘FACE of Philippines road to high1 Resort with X.I.E.L & Dear Kristin’ was held at Ayalamalls in Manila on August 25, co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sig) and the Philippines Wow Media Group (CEO Jang Han-sik) and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Among 450 models who applied from all over the Philippines, 31 (13 females and 18 males) were selected through the final auditions and walked the fashion shows of designer brands Fernando Garcia, John Jade Montecalvo, Marc Mendoza, Marc Uy, Rommel Rico, and Vandro Casiwan. Finally, Charlie Cook (male) and Doreen Ahuja (female) were selected and will represent the Philippines in the 2024 Asia Model Festival Face of Asia.
The judges included AMFOC Director Lee Sang-hee, Active Senior Division member Kim Dong-hwa, Oktoki Ahn Jung-hoe CEO, and Dookki Restaurant CEO Lee Chul. In addition, the event featured a congratulatory performance by 3WAY, a Philippine K-POP dance team, and singer Daniel Buniel.
Meanwhile, Face of Asia is a competition where male and female models representing Asia, selected through regional preliminary rounds in Korea, Japan, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and India, gather in Korea to compete for the title of Asia’s best model. It is part of the Asia Model Festival.
The ‘Asia Model Festival’ is the largest event in Asia where models, fashion, and beauty-related industries come together. With 25 Asian countries participating, it faithfully fulfills its role as an online and offline platform for the entry of related industries into the global market through cultural industry exchanges between countries.
The ‘2024 Asia Model Festival’ will be held from October 30 to November 3 at the Kangwon Land Hotel Convention Center with various contents such as Face of Asia, Asia Open Collection (Kids & Seniors, Asian Designer & Brand Fashion Show, Asia Model Awards, and Global Beauty Contest. High1 Resort, X.I.E.L, Dear Kristin, exobody, Oracle Dermatology, Koala Karma, RAYDEL, LINE COLLECTION·LINE HOMME, Giverny, Arkwell, Slmit, Daegyeong University, UZNEX, B2G Games, and The Diet 0313 will participate.
