On April 21, the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) and the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at AMF STUDIO in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul.

Under the vision of becoming a “global hub that connects Korea and the world through culture,” KOFICE carries out a wide range of initiatives to promote international cultural exchange and the Korean Wave (Hallyu). These include supporting bilateral cultural exchange projects, conducting research and policy studies, and fostering global cultural professionals.

Through its flagship event, the Asia Model Festival, the AMFOC has been at the forefront of promoting Asian models and the fashion and beauty industries to global audiences. It has served as a leading cultural platform that showcases the vibrancy and creativity of Asia’s pop culture and entertainment industry on the world stage.

This MOU marks a significant step toward strengthening collaboration for the development of innovative cultural content and the revitalization of related industries.

Through this agreement, the two organizations aim to further solidify their mutual trust and contribute to the advancement of culture and its related industries.

Park Chang-sik, President of the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, stated,
“Through this collaboration with the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee, we aim to further expand the scope of Hallyu and international cultural exchange into the fashion and beauty industries.”

The Chairman of the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee remarked,
“As the Asia Model Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, I am delighted that this agreement will serve as an opportunity to further expand the festival and firmly establish it as a leading cultural exchange platform in Asia.”
