Spectacular Runway Unfolds in Jeongseon as Models from 27 Asian Countries Gather for Asia Model Festival

A dazzling runway featuring models from 27 Asian countries lit up Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, as the 19th Asia Model Festival unfolded in full grandeur. The question on everyone’s mind—who would be crowned Asia’s top model?

Models from across the globe took to the stage, showcasing a vibrant array of styles—from contemporary fashion to reinterpretations of traditional attire. Each model brought their own flair, transforming the runway into a dynamic celebration of diversity and culture.

The highlight of the festival, the Face of Asia competition, featured over 50 contestants. After a fierce showcase of talent and presence, the grand prize went to Sera from Uzbekistan, who emerged as the top model of Asia.

“I’m truly honored to stand here today. I want to thank my parents and family for always supporting me,” Sera said, expressing her gratitude after receiving the award.

Now in its 19th year, the Asia Model Festival has grown into a major global celebration of the fashion and modeling industry.

“We aim to create local events across Asia that not only promote Korean culture but also allow the world to experience the diversity of Asian fashion and beauty on one platform,” said an organizer.

Traditionally held in the capital region, the festival took a bold step this year by being hosted in Gangwon Province.

“This marks the beginning of our transformation into a global all-in-one resort destination. We’re putting major efforts into attracting international tourists and nurturing world-class events,” said a local official.

Looking ahead, the organizing committee plans to expand both the scale and substance of the festival in the coming year, continuing its mission to bridge cultures through fashion and beauty.
