The 2024 Asia Model Festival ‘Face of Vietnam’ was held on the 16th at the Sheraton Hanoi West Hotel in Vietnam, co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sik) and BYB Academy (CEO Thanh Huyen Nguyen), and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the organizing committee announced on the 19th.
Out of approximately 900 models who applied from all over Vietnam, 18 (12 female, 16 male) were selected through two auditions and presented various fashion shows such as group uniforms, Ta Chi Linh designers, Vian brands, dresses, and tuxedos, and finally, Phan Minh Quan (male), Cua Le Thu Minh (female), and Nguyen Hong Mai Han (female) were selected and will represent Vietnam in the 2024 Asia Model Festival Face of Asia.
The judges included AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sik, BYB Academy CEO Tan Huyen Nguyen, IntroK CEO Christine Park, AMFOC Director Lee Sang-hee, and Vietnam ANST designer.
The Vietnam Kids Model event was held together with this event, and a celebratory performance of kids models’ fashion shows and dance performances was held. The kids models who participated will participate in the 2024 Asia Open Collection ‘Kids Senior’ fashion show held in Korea as Vietnamese kids models.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Face of Asia is a competition where male and female elite models who have passed regional preliminary rounds from up to 25 countries, including Korea, Japan, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and India, gather in Korea to select the best model in Asia. Along with selecting representatives from each country, it serves as a platform for exchange and communication between Korea’s related industries and culture with participating Asian countries.
The 2024 Asia Model Festival will be held for five days from October 30 to November 3 at the Gangwon Land Hotel Convention Center in Gohan-ri, Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. The Asia Open Collection will be held for two days from the 30th to the 31st, with the Face of Asia taking place on the 1st, the Asia Model Awards on the 2nd, and the newly established Global Beauty Contest on the 3rd.
