This competition was co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sik) and Nepal M.S Production Nepal Pvt. Ltd (CEO Menuka Majhi), and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Out of approximately 700 models who applied from all over Nepal, 21 (11 female, 10 male) advanced to the finals and presented various fashion shows including group uniforms, designer brands, and traditional clothes. Ultimately, Teena Paiyar (female), Himanchal Raj K.C (male), and Simran Chand (female) were selected to represent Nepal in the 2024 Asia Model Festival Face of Asia.

The event was attended by AMFOC Chairman Yang Eui-sik, Intro-K CEO Christine Park, MS Production CEO Menuka Machi, Nepal Film Directors Association President Janak Deep Parazli, famous actor Suraksha Pant, model and actress Garima Shalma, and 2022 Face of Nepal representative Gunsang Bomjan as judges.

Face of Asia is a competition where representative models from 25 Asian countries who have passed regional preliminary rounds gather in Korea to select the best model in Asia. It not only selects the representative of each country, but also functions as a platform for Korean industries and cultures to exchange and communicate with Asia.

Meanwhile, the ‘Asia Model Festival’, which is celebrating its 19th anniversary this year, is the largest event in Asia where models, fashion, and beauty-related industries come together. With the participation of 25 Asian countries, it is faithfully fulfilling its role as an online and offline platform for related industries to enter the global market through cultural industry exchanges between countries.

The ‘2024 Asia Model Festival’ will be held from October 30 to November 3 at the Gangwon Land Hotel Convention Center in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon-do. It will be a spectacular event with various contents such as the main event, Face of Asia, Asia Open Collection (Kids & Seniors, Asian Designer & Brand Fashion Show), Asia Model Awards, and Global Makeup Contest.
